Here is our betting preview as New England Revolution welcome Chicago Fire on 24th/07/2016 to the Gillette Stadium. We will bring you all the latest team news along with the match stats and bet predictions. New England Revolution could only manage a draw as they travelled to Real Salt Lake in their last fixture. Chicago Fire lost out to an impressive FC Dallas in their last match as Dallas were far too strong.
New England Revolution provided both sets of fans with a destitute and unacceptable performance as they played Real Salt Lake. Neither team knew where the goal was and despite hitting twenty-six shots between the two teams at goal, only three found their way to goal, two from Real Salt Lake and one from New England. Kei Kamara gave New England a glimmer of hope as he fired a shot into the back of the net. However, referee Ismail Elfath disallowed the goal as he deemed Kamara to have fouled Maund before the strike. That was about all New England could muster in this game, not one for the fans to rave about! Next up is Chicago Fire, a team that is struggling and for sure there will be high expectations on a much better performance from the team in this fixture.
Chicago Fire remains seated at the bottom of the table having been overrun and outplayed by table toppers FC Dallas. FC Dallas took the lead in the twenty-third minute of the match as Maximiliano Urrit hit home and in the forty-first minute, Mauro Diaz made it two just before half-time. Chicago Fire did have their moments, one of which was Arturo Alvarez scoring in the dying seconds of added time, but even this was undone as literally after the re-start, Mauro Rosales hit back making it 3-1. Next up for Chicago is New England, a team they historically have struggled against, and last time out lost 2-0.
New England Revolution is missing Charlie Davies (right abductor strain), Donnie Smith (right hamstring strain), Juan Agudelo (right knee sprain), Xavier Kouassi (right knee surgery) and possibly Gershon Koffie (right knee sprain). Koffee and Woodbury both have four Yellow cards to their name.
Chicago Fire is possible without Collin Fernandez (ankle sprain) and David Accam (undisclosed injury).
New England Revolution have to be favourites to win this fixture, and it is highly unlikely Chicago Fire will have much to offer in this game.
