Here is our betting preview as Houston Dynamo FC welcome Vancouver Whitecaps on 24th /07/2016 to the BBVA Compass Stadium. We will bring you all the latest team news along with the match stats and bet predictions. Houston Dynamo FC lost out to LA Galaxy in their last fixture as Steven Gerrard scored the only goal of the game. Vancouver Whitecaps failed to hold on to their lead against Orlando City in their last match.
Houston Dynamo may have only lost by one goal but for all that watched the game, it was not so evenly balanced. LA Galaxy caused all manner of problems for Houston but just couldn’t get anything from their hard work. Robbie Keane missed a penalty kick and then, later on, had a goal disallowed as he was judged to have been offside. However, it was that Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard who saved the day, much to Houston’s despair as he finally managed to hit the back of the net in the sixty-sixth minute of the game. Houston Dynamo now faces Vancouver Whitecaps. Next, a team they have only beaten once in their last five head to head fixtures.
Vancouver Whitecaps will be disappointed they never kept hold of all three points as they faced Orlando City. Despite going a goal behind in the fourteenth minute, Vancouver looked the better of the two teams. Nicolas Mezquida levelled the game up as he hit home in the thirty-fifth minute and Masato Kudon gave Vancouver the lead just eight minutes later as he hit home. Vancouver went in at half time 2-1 up and looking comfortable. The second half was not as they finished the first half, and the game was back on level terms in just the fiftieth minute as Orlando’s Cyle Larin scored. Vancouver never recovered from this goal and the game ended up 2-2, and points thrown away by Vancouver. Next up is Houston Dynamo, a team they have beaten many times and will be hoping to win this game ahead.
Houston Dynamo is missing DaMarcus Beasley (minor knee surgery). Alex has four Yellow cards to his name.
Vancouver Whitecaps is without Christian Dean (meniscus tear), Russell Teibert (right quad strain), Kekuta Manneh (right foot surgery), Blas Perez (left hamstring strain) and Marco Bustos (left eye injury).
Vancouver Whitecaps should be the favourites to win this fixture.
