Here is our betting preview as New York City FC welcome Colorado Rapids on 30th/07/2016 to the Yankee Stadium. We will bring you all the latest team news along with the match stats and bet predictions. New York City FC will be licking their wounds having been humped 4-1 by local rivals New York Red Bulls in their last fixture. Colorado Rapids remain unbeaten in six now as they drew with FC Dallas.
New York City FC was yet again on the wrong end of a thrashing as New York Red Bulls tore them apart with ease. Having already suffered a humiliating 7-0 demolition previously this season they didn’t want a repeat performance. However, before half time New York City found themselves three goals behind as Bradly Wright-Phillips, Ronald Zubar and Sacha Kljestan all scored. City did manage to sneak a goal back just before half-time as Thomas McNamara hit home in the forty-third minute. The second half was a more levelled affair, but Bradley Wright-Phillips popped up again to bag his second of the game and put the final nail in City’s coffin. Next for City is Colorado, a team they have only played once and that game ended up a draw.
Colorado Rapids shared the points with fellow table toppers FC Dallas in what was a conservative game as neither team looked to push forward and made sure they kept a strong back line. The first half was very tight, and the fans had to wait until the forty-forth minute before Colorado’s Marlon Hairston gave them the lead. The game looked to be going Colorado’s way, and that was until Victor Ulloa managed to level the game in the eight-second minute. Colorado has not lost a game in their last six outings having drawn four and won two. Next up is New York City, which in their current form should pose little problems for Colorado.
