Current LA Galaxy midfielder Nigel De Jong is looking likely to leave the club, after Turkish club Galatasaray have stepped up their approach for the player. According to an MLS source, the player could be a Galatasaray player by the time the European transfer window closes on Thursday.
Nigel De Jong, the dutch international, joined LA Galaxy before the beginning of the 20016 season, and was believed to be a player to stay in the league for years to come. However, a move back to Europe seems to be something that catches the eye of the player, who is believed to be making the move.
He has made just 21 appearances for LA Galaxy in both league and cup games, which really shows what a short stay it could be for the player. However, he obviously feels the real challenge lies back in Europe and with Galatasaray being a did side in Europe, it looks to be a good move for the player.
It is believed that the player have earned half a million pound in the time he has spend in LA, and that is speculated to be doubled if he was to stay. But it seems a move back to Europe is to bigger opportunity for the player to take. As well as the football style, he will also be able to link up with Dutch international Wesley Sneijder and old Ajax boss Jan Olde Riekerink.
