Seattle Sounders v LA Galaxy – Betting Preview
Here is our betting preview as Seattle Sounders welcome LA Galaxy on 31st/07/2016 to the Century Link Field Stadium. We will bring you all the latest team news along with the match stats and bet predictions. Seattle Sounders lost out to an excellent performance from Sporting Kansas City in their last fixture. LA Galaxy left Portland Timbers with all three points in the bag as they defeated the home side 2-1 in their last game.
Seattle Sounders FC was unable to fend off Sporting Kansas City in their most recent match losing the game by three goals, without return. Sporting Kansas took the lead in the twenty-first minute through Dom Dwyer and then went further behind before half-time to a Jacob Peterson goal. The second half was a drab affair, and the only goal came from the in-form Dom Dwyer, who hit home in the seventy-ninth minute to secure all three points for Sporting Kansas, leaving Seattle with nothing to cheer about. Seattle now has to face LA Galaxy, a team that historically they have not been the better side, winning only three of their last ten home head to head fixtures.
LA Galaxy visited Portland Timbers and came away with smiles on their face as Robbie Keane opened the scoring in the seventh minute of the match. Gyasi Zardes made it two just four minutes later as he hit home in the eleventh minute. Portland did score before half-time, but it wasn’t enough at LA locked the second half down and claimed all three points on offer. Next up is Seattle Sounders, a team that have struggled this season and shouldn’t prove too difficult for LA Galaxy to overcome.
Seattle Sounders is missing Roman Torres (left ACL tear) and Aaron Kovar (fractured clavicle).
LA Galaxy is without Robbie Rogers (ankle surgery), Ashley Cole (hamstring injury) and possibly Steven Gerrard (undisclosed injury) and Ariel Lassiter (back injury).
LA Galaxy should win this fixture. They are the better of the two teams and have always done well in head to head fixtures.
