Here is our betting preview as Toronto FC welcome Seattle Sounders on 3rd/07/2016 to the BMO Field. We will bring you all the latest team news along with the match stats and bet predictions. Toronto FC will be kicking themselves having thrown away all three points in the dying seconds of added time against Orlando City. Strugglers Seattle Sounders didn’t have enough in their armoury to deal with high-flying new York City FC as they lost their fixture 2-0.
Toronto FC had a point in their hands as they battled it out with fellow mid-table opposition Orlando City. However, just before the referee blew the final whistle, Drew Moor was adjudged to have pulled down Julio Baptista and awarded a Penalty Kick. Orlando opened the scoring in the fifth minute with Cyle Larin, which turned out to be the only goal of the first half. Toronto levelled matters very early in the second half as Jordan Hamilton hit home in the forty-seventh minute. Adrian Winter looked to have claimed all three points for Orlando as he scored in the eighty-third minute, but it wasn’t to be as Justin Morrow again levelled for Toronto and should have shared the points. Things went from bad to worse as Drew Moor was penalised for pulling down Julio Baptista. Kaka made no mistake with the penalty kick and grabbed all three points. Now Toronto faces Seattle Sounders, a game they know they have to win and get themselves back into possible a top-four league position.
Seattle Sounders find themselves still in the wrong half of the league table, and things don’t look to be getting any better. New York City FC took away all three points as Frank Lampard opened their account in the thirty-eight minute of the game and Ronald Matarrita doubled their lead in the eighty-seventh minute to take the game away from Seattle. Now Seattle faces Toronto Fc, a team they have enjoyed more success against in their head to head fixtures having won four out of their last five games. Seattle’s current form is in tatters as they have only managed to win one game in their last six competitive fixtures and if they are to show any signs of improvement, it has to happen sooner rather than later.
Toronto FC is missing Jozy Altidore (hamstring injury), Daniel Lovitz (knee injury), Ashtone Morgan (foot injury), Clint Irwin (quad injury) and Michael Bradley (knee injury). Justin Morrow has four yellow Cards to his name.
Seattle Sounders is without Roman Torres (left ACL tear). Osvaldo Alonso has four Yellow Cards to his name.
Toronto FC should be too strong for a struggling Seattle Sounders, a team lacking in confidence and struggling for a win!
