Houston Dynamo head coach, Wade Barrett has said he can see improvement in his side’s performance after they saw out a 1-1 draw with Toronto on Sunday night.
Houston Dynamo are currently bottom of the league table and don’t look as if they will be able to get into the playoff positions come the end of the season. However, the coach was left impressed after their last game, as they were able to secure a point.
It would have been a little frustrating not to grab all three after going one up, but a point is better than they have had a lot of time throughout the campaign.
Here is what Wade Barrett had to say on the efforts of his players: ‘I’m inspired to see the effort and energy like that, but I do not expect it and this group has given that over the last couple of months. We continue to be a little disappointed at the end of every game, but their are also some positives we can take from every performance.’
Houston Dynamo gave themselves an advantage early on, with Cristian Maidana striking home just eight minutes into the game. However, a red card to Abdoulie in stoppage time of the first half changed the game, with Houston on the back foot for the remainder.
This saw their opponents, Toronto, get back into the game and rescue a point, which came as a huge disappointment to this Houston Dynamo team.
Wade Barrett continued, saying: ‘The commitment, the fight that the guys showed, we all knew at halftime it was going to be a tough second half. So the commitment that everybody took on the field and left out there, I was really pleased their. I know they had chances.’
